Additional declarations annexed to phytosanitary certificates

Additional declarations annexed to the phytosanitary certificates cause problems too often.

They apply rules that are diversely interpreted but the Phytosanitary services in the importing countries rarely communicate the declarations that they expect to receive from their counterpart in the exporters' country. As a result packages with a non satisfactory declaration may be stopped until a rectified one is emailed or sent by post. Import permits avoid this problem as they mention the additional declaration as it must be written. We may ask our buyers without import permits to receive from their phytosanitary services ( plant protection department ) the expected wording instead of us having to rectify after the plants have been intercepted at the customs.
